Casa Corona Bar (Tsvetnoy Department Store, Moscow)

Creating the interior for Casa Corona Bar located in the pretty big Department Store in the city’s downtown, we was supposed to solve a curious task  — to make the vibe of a department store disappear. In order to do so, we used natural materials, such as bamboo, wood, plywood, filled the space with green plants, and covered bar facades with juicy plots of the Mexican jungle by the artist Alina Vinogradova. There are many other details here meant to create coziness: lamps of the GDR time found at Avito; the curtain of wooden beads as a reference to pagan folk motifs; various figures of birds and smart lighting. The floor is covered by rugs, and the supporting structure of the attic is painted mustard yellow. The project is conceived for a season.
