Echowaves Festival (Georgia, Anaklia)
This was challenging to work with these impeccable sceneries and painfully familiar shore — for this was our 5th summer and 3th festival at the same venue (The Kazantip Republic, GEM fest, Echowaves Festival), and therefore our 5th attempt to create something unique out of it.
Octagon Dancefloor
Octagon was conceived as one of the main stages of the festival. Materials we used were iron, facade mesh, and paving tiles on the floor.
Shell
The experimental Shell stage on the hill, resembling a sea shell, is created thoroughly of natural materials —bamboo and palm leaves. It is of a small in size and has a closed shape for the purpose of proper acoustics. A huge ship docked nearby was a part of the installation and became a bar later.
Wind installation
It would have been foolish not to play with the wind on the sea shore, so we created a laconic wind installation with flags in the festival’s colors. Materials: bamboo and flag ribbon.
Island
The island, a separate location, where daytime afterparties have been unfolding in the shade of trees. We organized a DJ-place and a canopy. Swings were placed here and there to embrace carefully the dance floor. Several cozy moorings at the bank, where one can sit over the water surface.
